Extreme Reading Competition

A big thank you to all our parents and pupils for putting in a huge effort into our Extreme Reading Competition for World Book Day last week. 📖📘📚📖📘📚
 
It was a simple idea but really did generate a lot of interest and fun in school, with some very creative reading positions and places on display! We had children reading with chickens, calves, lambs and ponies and even in tractors and on quads! Definitely a very distinctive rural feel to many entries! Others were reading with their favourite football team, on the roadside or in an ice-cream van! Even the staff got involved!
 
If you're in school over the next few days to view the Book Fair please pop into the Assembly Hall where we have a fascinating display of all entries received. They're very entertaining! 
 
As always it was extremely difficult to choose prizewinners but congratulations to the following pupils who were awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each class:
