RNLI - Meet the Lifeguard!

16th May 2019

On Wednesday 15th May, Primary 5 - 7 children had a special visit from Jason and Laughlin.  They belong to the RNLI and are trained lifeguards.  They learnt lots of interesting facts, the RNLI is 195 years old this year and over the course of this time they have saved 140000 people.

The lifeguards showed the children what to do if they get into trouble in water and also when and where the best places are to swim in the sea.  These particular lifeguards are based at Co.Down beaches, Cranfield and Murlough Bay.

After the talk the children got to see the RNLI Truck, they were shown the lights and PA system and got to talk into it.

All children really enjoyed this interactive talk and learnt so much.  We hope they remember these facts!
