Final Assembly and Presentation of Awards

1st Jul 2017

We had a wonderful Final Assembly on Wednesday 21 June when a range of shields and certificates were presented to the children. It was a very poignant afternoon when we said goodbye to our P7 pupils who move out into pastures new next year. Certificates were given out for swimming, orienteering, Armagh Show and Cycling Proficiency, while 4 shields were awarded in each Key Stage for Academic Attainment, Endeavour, Behaviour and Helpfulness. Mr David Livingstone, Principal of Armagh City High School, gave a brilliant speech to the P7 pupils on believing in themselves and fulfilling their potential, something the children will undoubtedly remember for a long time. The children all participated in the assembly while our choir also sang some lovely songs appropriate to the occasion. There was also a scripture reading and a 'Leavers' Prayer and the afternoon was complete with some tasty refreshments provided by the kitchen staff. We also appreciated the parents' attendance on what is always  a very special event in our school calendar.
